Gary Hall

Gary Hall has been Chief Executive of Coventry Transport Museum since March 2007. Born in Bristol, Gary has very quickly adopted Coventry as his second home and is extremely passionate about developing the Transport Museum into an international Centre of Excellence and a beacon for Coventry that engages and inspires the widest possible audience. Before joining the Museum Gary’s career was in airport management and aircraft engineering. He joined Westland Helicopters in 1981 as an Engineering Apprentice and qualified as an Aircraft Engineer in 1985. Following a number of career moves within the industry he joined Alstom in 1999 to head up their International Airports Business, moving to City Hopper Airports Limited as Managing Director in 2005 to run both Blackpool and Wolverhampton Airports. Gary is very keen to develop Coventry’s national profile as a tourist destination and Chairs Coventry’s Key Attractions Group. He also sits on the board of the Midlands Attractions Group promoting tourism to the West Midlands region and is a Trustee of the Herbert Art Gallery. |

David Hartley

David is Business Development & Finance Director of Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce which has over 250 members based in the city centre. He is also a Director and Company Secretary of the Coventry Best for Business (Business Improvement District) company and has a detailed knowledge of the BID legislation and current practice. In his earlier career, David was Sales & Marketing Director of several companies supplying food products to High St retailers.
